Mechanical workshop

The Lockhart River mechanical workshop can assist with repairs and servicing of most types of vehicles and plant equipment.

The council now plans to purchase computer-based diagnostic equipment to upgrade the capability of the workshop. Having the latest technology will assist the mechanical team to better maintain the council's fleet as well as many privately owned vehicles in the community.

It also means improved training and experience for our apprentices and young people wanting to pursue careers in mechanical and engineering work.
