All Lockhart residents will soon be able to benefit from improved water quality and pressure when the new water reticulation project is completed.
Most houses and public buildings are alread connected to the new water lines and pumping station as part of a $1.33 million upgrade of the town water supply system by the Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council.
Water meters have been installed to help to gain a better understanding of useage levels in the community. While Lockhart is in a high rainfall area, it is very important not to waste water. Be waterwise. Make sure taps are turned off tight and if you notice a leaking tap or broken water hydrant, please report it straight away to the relevant authorities.
If the problem is inside your home, contact QBuild. If it involves community infrastructure, please contact council's engineering services on 07 4060 7144.
